SACRED SPACES
Resident Advisor presents Sacred Spaces, a limited edition book of love letters to dance floors from around the world.
Inside Sacred Spaces you'll find 26 people celebrating their most treasured dance floor experiences. From Berghain to Nyege Nyege and from '90s free parties in the UK to a small listening bar in Tokyo, our contributors are musicians, writers, promoters and more, including Colleen 'Cosmo' Murphy, Kevin Saunderson, Róisín Murphy and Eris Drew & Octo Octa. The book's foreword, written for us by the legendary François Kevorkian, explores the essence of "the underground," thinking about club culture's impact on societal change.
Designed by Berlin-based HelloMe studio, the pages of Sacred Spaces are also filled with original archival rave photography provided for us by the Museum of Youth Culture. There are seven different covers available, representing the cities that are, or have been, home to RA offices – London, Manchester, Berlin, New York, Los Angeles, Sydney and Tokyo. Each copy comes with an exclusive one-off, limited edition print by renowned artist Jeremy Deller.
All profits from sales of this limited edition book will be donated to three organisations close to our hearts: Museum Of Youth Culture, Bridges For Music and Choose Love.
